It’s the end of the month and I’ve attained the opportunity, with Herman Inc that’ll help me close my monthly quota. They’ve asked for high bandwidth routers and switches, need multiple access points to be deployed in Sunnyvale. I have to send them a quote within 2 days.

We have over 10,000 SKUs, so I’ll start by searching for Routers. Woah, there’s still a 100 different options. Let me refine for high-bandwidth, this reduces the set to 5, I’ll pick the 100MBPS package and add to the deal.

Herman Inc will be a great logo win. Pricing needs special attention as it’s a 3-year contract. I need to be aggressive with discounts to compete with Tesla Networks.

They were very particular about security and wanted me to address that in the terms and conditions. They also requested a solution architecture diagram.

It’s a $250,000 per year deal and with discounts this steep, I’ll have to get it reviewed by Alex, our sales ops manager and approved by Jamie, our VP Sales.

All that’s left is to send a quote to Paul, the CIO at Herman Inc. I’ll choose from one of our marketing-approved templates to create a quote document and send them the quote.
